Craft Hatch and Finders Keepers

We had a great time at Craft Hatch in Melbourne and Finders Keepers in Sydney.
We met some lovely people, Handmade Romance, Beattie Lanser, Harvest Textiles, Paradise Structures, Yoko Ozawa

letters

Yesterday I received a lovely letter from Ebony. The beautiful hand made envelope and cut out shapes reminded me of my letter-writing days in Primary school.
I have kept all my letters and cards in shoe boxes, pushed to the back of cupboards. Some are more than 25years old.(...wowzers?!). Here are some oldies and newies(?) I am sorting through:

Little mini notes, open/close flaps, pop ups, art works, little presents all bundled up in a letter. There is something so special about opening these precious handmade gifts...I should get writing again.

Exhibition 2012!

We are off to Japan on tuesday for our exhibition in Tokyo. We are sharing a space with　ちきゅちょきマーケット。 Our exhibition starts on the 27th of Aug at Ginza Gallery House in Ginza, Tokyo, finishing on the 1st of Sept.

If you are in  Japan we would love to see you, otherwise you will be able to see our works online from the 27th.

Sadhana Kichen

Our short return to Sydney last week was fun. We loved the warm sydney winter weather! We visited some nice places too. This was one of them, "Sadhana Kitchen" in Newtown.

They grow all their own vegetables and herbs, utilising every little bit of space and sunshine :)

We had some photo shoots for "dp paper mobile kit". We need to develop our photography technique.

We went a shop called "LOST & FOUND MARKET" in Brunswick, Melbourne today. There are lots of treasures.

MCA Zine Fair 2012

Yesterday was the MCA zine fair. We launched our new paper mobiles and art work and sold some old zine stock too. Thank you MCA for an amazing day. Thank you everyone for your lovely feedback, we really enjoyed the opportunity to chat with you :)

(We usually share a table with Hello Sandwich but she was busy book creating in Japan...but we were lucky to have a little bit of Ebony with us, her new "it's dots" wrapping packs!)

Wesley Hill Market

We went to Castlemain on the last weekend. There was a lovely local farmers market called "Wesley Hill Market". We got some organic vegetables and a good vegetarian curry for lunch from a nice Malaysian lady.

Melbourne Street Knitters

We found some knitters on the street in Yarraville.
